Beavis and Butthead: Episode 4 Mini-Review
After the slight misstep that was episode 3, we were hoping that B&B would really pack the punches in the newest episode, Holy Cornholio. Did they kick it up a notch or is this episode another downward fall for Beavis and Butthead?
Beavis and Butthead: Episode 3 Mini-Review
Another week, another episode of our destructively dumb duo in their newest episode, Drones. How does the third episode of the new Beavis and Butthead compare to the last two?

Beavis and Butthead: Episode 2 Review

"Beavis and Butthead" Premiere Kicks Butt
Just when we all thought MTV's program line-up hit rock bottom, Mike Judge's Beavis and Butthead was said to come back on the air. Alongside their line-up of "reality" television, pregnancy shows, people hurting themselves, and let's not forget their newest edition of "kids getting arrested," MUSIC Television has seemingly been one of the worst networks on television to most of us. But that is all about to change.
Beavis and Butthead premiered last night. Heh heh, cool! We were so excited to see our favorite TV-watching do-nothing duo and their amazing logic take over the current world. I mean, who else is really going to talk about the horror that is Twilight?
The show started out with a plot that is reminiscent of the days when MTV was good. We have our classic pair watching the Twilight movie, talking about how ridiculous it is that women are into that "crap." They decide to go out and get bitten by a werewolf to become one. However, they mistake a hepatitis-having homeless crazy man for their werewolf and pay him to bite them. The best part is they paid him in gum.
They then spend the rest of the episode with sores and looking super pale, still trying to score. The next episode showed them watching "The Bachelor" and eating chili dogs. Beavis accidentally smells an onion and starts to cry. Butthead continually calls him out for being "moved to tears" and keeps it up for YEARS. Even when they were shown in their 80s, Beavis is still getting pissed and Butthead still messes with him.
The best part, however, is that they showed MUSIC VIDEOS. It's hard to believe that MTV allowed them to play some type of music. It almost seems that MTV finds that people don't like music anymore. Don't you wish music videos had their artistic respect they used to have? Hopefully our two dimwitted critics can bring back that art form.
Overall, Thursday, October 27, 2011 marked an important day in the world of television. We get back the most important people of the 90s. You know, the boys who helped make or break artists. The ones who had such an impact that people still talk about them almost 20 years after first coming on TV. It's hilarious, well thought-out, and really sticks to its roots. I'm sorry, I mean OUR roots. Here's a sneak peek at next week:

Two and Half Men: More Sheen With Ashton Than Charlie
Sheen - beautiful; shining.
That being said, everyone in the world followed Charlie Sheen's downward spiral from a top-paying position in the television and movie industry to being a tiger-blooded warlock rock star from Mars. The question for the time then wasn't "How will Charlie Sheen survive without 2.5 Men?" The real question was "Will 2.5 Men survive without Sheen?"
After Charlie Sheen was fired (there's a big surprise...) everyone wondered who would replace him. Rumors were abound on the internet: John Stamos from Full House, Jerry O'Connell from Funny or Die, and Donny Osmond. However, there then began a huge rumor surging throughout the World Wide Web, and a dear friend from the 70's would join the cast; someone we never thought of.
Ashton Kutcher would be coming in as a new character to fill the void left by Charlie Sheen. After playing in numerous successful comedies and playing the ever-so-famous Kelso from That 70's Show, it should have been clear that Ashton would be one of the best comedians to take the spot. After all, with almost 8 million Twitter followers and even more fans on other social media outlets, it should have been clear that with Kutcher on board, the show would be nothing but winning.
Millions tuned in to the premiere episode to see just how Ashton would fare. It's clear after four episodes that Ashton's still got his ground in comedy, and Charlie isn't the only one with Adonis DNA.
All of Ashton's jokes are timed just right, and he brings a fresh breath of a different kind of comedy to the set of Two and a Half Men. The show continues to do really well with viewers, and it keeps getting better each week. John Cryer and Ashton play brilliantly off each other, and it seems like I'm actually watching someone's daily life.
I applaud Mr. Kutcher for his amazing performance, which can only go up from it's already high point. It's clear that Ashton has the sheen to keep the Sheen-less comedy better than ever! Keep bringing it to the Two and a Half Men set and T.V. sets everywhere, Mr. Kutcher. The audience is listening.
Do you think Ashton does it better than Charlie? Let us know below, on Twitter @GeekPreview or on Facebook!
"Faux Calls"
The Author of this post is Freddy Savage
We got DIRECT TV and I have been catching up on episodes of “Sex and the City”. It was my favorite show when it was out, and I think that I have seen almost every episode. On a recent episode that I watched Carrie, wants to get back together with her ex-fiance, Aiden. I always liked the episodes with Aiden, but Carrie really did him dirty and cheated on him. Eventually, they broke up and he left the show. She wants to get back together with him after seeing him at his bar opening. The funniest thing is that she describes “faux calls” ( when she says it , is sounds like phone calls). “Faux calls” as Carrie describes them, are calling an ex and hanging up. You call and you have no idea what you would say if they pick up and you definitely don’t leave a message. It is so funny. Every girl has called a guy that they liked at one point or another and hung up just before someone answer. Carrie uses a house phone, which makes it a little easier for her to make “Faux calls”. Now a days with caller id on every cell phone, if you were going to make “Faux calls” you would have to use Google phone or dial *67 before you phone the number so that if wouldn’t show up on the caller id.

Party Down Caters to All My Needs + Creep of the Week!
![]() |
| The Geekiest Show You've Never Seen. |
Odds are you haven’t heard about the Starz original comedy Party Down. There wasn’t a lot of hype about it, and it only lasted a brief, two season stint. While Party Down’s time was brief, it sure did cater to thousands of viewers’ wants and needs.
So, why should you watch it? First, everyone’s in this show. You’ll spend tons of time pointing people out and calling out what they’ve been in. From Glee to Veronica Mars to Knocked Up, everyone has been in that one movie or show, and they can all act.
![]() |
| The Misfits. Kinda. |
The show features an interesting cast of characters. There’s “That Guy,” played by Adam Scott from Step Brothers. There’s the comedienne-to-be played by Lizzy Caplan from Mean Girls, the geeky writer wannabe played by Martin Starr from Knocked Up, and the older, young-on-the-inside actress played by Jane Lynch from Glee. The list of creative characters goes on and on.
Each of these characters wants to be someone in Hollywood: a comedian, an actor, a writer, or a franchise owner for unlimited salad and soups (hey, everyone has a dream, right?) While working on their goal, they also work catering to the rich and famous. This opens up tons of hilarious situations! They cater to a 16 year old’s birthday party and to the Sin Say Shun Awards (for Adult Films.)
Each episode will leave you laughing hysterically! I’m almost done Season 1 and I can’t stop laughing throughout it! Throughout the episode these caterers get themselves into a huge mess, and you just never know what to expect, so it continues to bring you back for more! You can watch Party down on IMDb or Netflix!
Seeing as we never know what to expect, this is the sole reason that this week’s Creep of the Week is combined with Party Down!
The Creep of the Week this week is the Rick Sargulesh from the episode “Celebrate Rick Sargulesh." Why does he deserve Creep of the Week? Well, I’ll give you a clip so you can see him. A little backstory, though: he’s a murderer. A Russian murderer. Sorry to my Russian readers, that’s Hollywood’s opinion, not mine. And that weird eye thing…jeez!
So, celebrate Rick Sargulesh as the Creep of the Week!

The Geek Show: Reaper!
I'll admit this: before I got a Netflix account, I had never heard of the show Reaper. For that, I apologize. After doing some research, I found out that many people never had the chance to watch the TV show, and that's a shame! Reaper definitely deserves the relatively small cult following it has.
Reaper is about a young man named Sam (pun intended) who finds out on his 21st birthday that his parents sold his soul to the devil before he was born. So naturally, Sam is now forced to be the devil's bounty hunter for escaped souls. Pretty solid, awesome premise!
I'd like to start out by saying that the cast was amazing. I honestly couldn't stop laughing throughout the episodes, and I'd mostly like to thank Sock (played by Tyler Labine of Mad Love,) and the Devil (Ray Wise) for this. Sam (Brett Harrison) is perfect for the son. the I feel bad for poor Sam because he just can't catch a break thanks to that damn devil.
Tell me that's not the most awesome Devil ever!
Each episode brings something new and hellish into Brett's life. First, there's the vessel Brett, Sock, and Ben use to catch the escaped souls. It comes in a devil's box of some sort, and then they have to figure out how to use it. They always prove to be something really random and laughter-inducing, such as an 8-track, an RC car, or a Dirt Devil.
How...ominous!
So, in between doing all this, Sam keeps trying to have a normal life that the Devil keeps ruining. He tries to get Andi, the girl he works with, and keeps failing miserably because the Devil keeps throwing new things his way. He can't catch a break at his weird work, where they do the Paint Can Rodeo. Yeah, go check that out I'd love the Paint Can Rodeo.
It is a shame that the show got cancelled, though. Now instead of a full story, we only get a glimmer of what could be. There are only two seasons, and that is the only downfall of this show. However, there are talks of bringing back the show in the form of a series of comic books, but there's no word on when this will happen, but I really hope it will!
Overall, it's really solid and I think mostly the work comes from Kevin Smith, of Dogma and Clerks fame, being the Script Supervisor. I'd definitely recommend Reaper. It's on Netflix Instant, but you can watch the episodes on IMDB for free through HULU as well.
I give the show 3.5 out of 4 mushrooms, because there's just not enough show to go around!

15 Most Epic Beards in Cinema!
Over here at Geek Preview, we have a thing for any and all things geek. Our knowledge and love isn't limited, though, and it grows. We like to show our love through many ways: posts, updates, reviews, and more importantly - lists. The only thing more awesome than a list? BEARDS. So, a list of beards is probably too awesome, but let's find out! Ladies and gentlemen, Geek Preview presents: the 15 Most Epic Beards in Cinema!
Haven't seen these movies? You should totally check them out!
Milk was a bad choice.
Actor: Will Ferrell
Movie: Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Bergundy
Why it's Epic: It's Will Ferrell playing Ron Bergundy. With a beard. Once you see Will Ferrell with a beard it's near impossible to unsee it.
Peter, you have been brushing haven't you?
Actor: John Noble
Movie: Fringe
Why it's Epic: Okay, so it's not a movie, but it's still an epic beard. Walter Bishop, the most amazing scientist in the world has a beard that is equally amazing. Too bad he's a little crazy.
Insert Wilfred Joke Here.
Actor: Tom Hanks
Movie: Castaway
Why it's Epic: As Tom Hanks' character gets crazier being stuck on an island, so does his beard. You'd think he would have been able to makeshift a Gillette or something out there, seeing as he could build other things.
Beardicus Epicus.
Actor: Michael Gambon
Movie: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Why it's Epic: It's Albus Freakin' Dumbledore! (That's his real middle name.) Not only is he the greatest sorcerer of all time, he's also the recordholder for the most magnificent beard. Just don't tell Gandalf that, please.
Sauron had no beard. That's why he lost.
Actor: Ian McKellen
Movie: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Why it's Epic: This is perhaps the most majestic cinemasterpiece, aside from Treebeard. It's just short enough, and just a tiny bit frilly. He really wouldn't have as much respect without the beard because beards = respect.
What is your profession?
Actor: Gerard Butler
Movie: 300
Why it's Epic: Ripped Abs? Check. Most awesome line ever yelled during battle? Check. Perfectly formed beard that let's others know that you mean business? Double check.
Yer didn't think that I'd shave it, didja?
Actor: Robbie Coltrane
Movie: Harry Potter Series
Why it's Epic: Hagrid is a giant, in case you didn't know. While he is huge, one can only wonder what the actual length of his beard is.
The only beard in the Wolfpack.
Actor: Zach Galifianakis
Movie: The Hangover Part II
Why it's Epic: While it's hard to pull off a beard, it's equally as hard to do when you're playing a kid-like adult. Also, how in the hell is it so perfectly rounded?
One cannot simply walk into Mordor without Beard-legs.
Actor: John Ryes-Davies
Movie: Lord of the Rings trilogy
Why it's Epic: Look at it! It's like the beard has legs. -head explodes from greatness-
Spiderman? Not you again.
Actor: Robin Williams
Movie: Jumanji
Why it's Epic: His beard is super bushy. It shows just how ridiculous this character is at the time. He's supposed to be crazy, so the epic beard enhances this. Or maybe it's just because he's next to little Kirsten Dunst? Who knows.
-cue epic stand-off music-
Actor: Chia Hui-Liu
Movie: Kill Bill Vol. 2
Why it's Epic: His beard must have grown too long, because his eyebrows are just as long! Also, his mustache has a beard! HE IS THE BEARD.
Scorcese on coke.
Actor: Martin Starr
Movie: Knocked Up
Why it's Epic: This thing grows throughout the entire movie, and leaves us wondering as to what the limit would ever be. It also is the focus of many of the world's best beard jokes.
When I was a young boy...
Actor: George Clooney
Movie: O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Why it's Epic: I know it's not real, but still: this is George Clooney, who can rock anything in the world and still look good. Even a fake beard.
Where did you say the rum was?
Actor: Johnny Depp
Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean
Why it's Epic: This beard is really two beards in one. They are also styled perfectly. I wonder how much work went into that?
Do not be hasty. This beard is tasty.
Actor: John Ryes-Davies
Movie: Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Why it's Epic: It's a goddamned tree. WITH A BEARD. Further proving the point of: If it has a beard, it's important and epic and will win SO. HARD.
So there you go! That's some epic beards, huh? Anything you would've liked to see in this list? Which beard is the most epic, or have you seen something even more epic in real life?
