Announcing: Snapdragon Stadium

This post brought to you by Snapdragon by Qualcomm. All opinions are 100% mine.

I live right outside of New Orleans, the home of what was once the Superdome.  It recently got a name change and is now called the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which I guess means it's supposed to be more high-end.  It's too bad I don't live in San Diego, because their Qualcomm Stadium is being renamed to Snapdragon Stadium for 11 days!  That's much more awesome than Mercedes-Benz anyday!

Starting December 18th for 11 days, Qualcomm Stadium will be named after Qualcomm's most famous processor chips:  Snapdragon Stadium.  During this time, the stadium will host a Chargers vs. Ravens game and two college games: the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsetta Bowl on Dec. 21 and the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl on Dec. 28!

I'm excited for the name change because I feel that this could pave the way of bringing in some "geeky" flair to sports.  I heard a lot of "what?"s coming from people when they heard about the Snapdragon name change but others knew about the awesome little processors.

Snapdragon processors by Qualcomm are the digital brains inside mobile devices made specifically for smart phones.  Many top manufacturers, such as Samsung, Nokia, HTC, and LG, use these processors to get lightning-fast devices.  Over 250 devices contain these processors, such as the new HTC Rezound, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and the LG DoublePlay.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors are amazing for mobile gaming and multi-tasking, which is why many of these high-end devices use them.  I honestly couldn't imagine using my Galaxy Tab without having a Snapdragon processor.  It just wouldn't feel right.

What do you think of the name change?  What other "geeky"-type products would you like to see a stadium get renamed, if even for a short time?

Top 10 Products That Need To Come Back

Doesn't it suck when you get a craving for a food that no longer exists?  It's happened to everybody and we get those cravings all the time.  Here's the 10 products that need to come back ASAP!

21 Jump Street Posters and Trailer Revealed

Have you ever heard of the TV show 21 Jump Street starring Johnny Depp?  If not, it was a show about undercover cops who specialize in youth crime because they look young and can blend in.  The new movie starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill follows suit and seems to be a little...dirtier.  See why after the jump

Christmas Food

Christmas is waited for year-round by kids and adults.  You know when the time is coming because every company in the world lets you know not even an hour into Thanksgiving (in America.)  While many people love the gifts and the spirits, both mentally and drunkenly, some people are in it just for the Christmas food.

Pimp My Cube Contest

This post brought to you by Contest Factory. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you have a messy, unorganized, or technologically impaired cubicle? Maybe your office space is cluttered with crap and comes across as tacky and dirty? If so, do we have a contest for you: the Pimp My Cube Contest.

All you have to do is make a video explaining why your cube needs to be pimped.  Tell us all about how you have an office with one of those huge, bulky desktops and a "clinkety-clank" keyboard.  You know the ones we're talking about; beige, loud, and unsightly.  After that, you upload your video to the Pimp My Cube website and get to voting!

Get your friends, family, co-workers, co-workers family, co-worker's family's friends and everyone else you can possibly think of to vote for your cubicle.  To further increase your odds, vote and comment on other videos and don't forget to invite others to register for the contest.  All of this helps get you extra sweepstakes points.

If Contest Factory determines that you have the worst cubicle, they'll Pimp Your Cube!  Of course, the judging is based on a number of points, such as worst (or best?) office, most convincing story, and most votes.  If I were you, I'd jump at this opportunity because as I'm writing this post, NOBODY has entered!  That sh*t cray!

The grand prize is valued at $1200 and consists of the winners choice of either:

  • New computer system
  • New Furniture and decorations
  • Entertainment package (speakers, espresso machine, etc.)

The second sweepstakes prize is a $200 gift card given to a random entrant at the end of the contest.

So get together a funny video and a great story and make yourself a star and a winner.  It's really easy to upload videos straight from your phone to the site, so you can even do it on the go if you want!  In fact, you could do it with your phone or webcam right now.  The contest runs 12/5/11 until 1/31/12 at 12:00 PM.

What are you waiting for? Check out the video below and make it happen!

Why does your office need to be pimped? Let us know!

Buying The House

Thanks to Darwin Barton

Buying my new house was the highlight of my year and I’ve been working tirelessly to turn it into the kind of place that I want to live in. It’s got all the good bonesand structural elements but it needs a lot of work to restore it to its glory days which were apparently back in the 1800s. I love being the owner of an old house but it’s really far outside of town and commuting in has been a much bigger hassle than I would have thought. I love that it’s so great and cozy but there are definitely things I miss about my condo in the city! I got http://www.satelliteinternetbroadband.com/hughesnet/New-Hampshire/D/Dunbarton/ internet so I could stay connected to the office while I was out here and that’s helped and at least my cell phone gets service- that would be really hard to deal with otherwise. Anyway, I love that I’ve got a new project and plan and it won’t be long before I get the place spruced up and ready to show off!

LG DoublePlay™: Double Screens, Double Awesome

This post brought to you by LG DoublePlay™. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard about the new LG DoublePlay™ available only to T-Mobile?  Well, if you haven't, you're about to get schooled by one of the coolest phones on the market.  Are you ready?

Here's some of the perks of the LG DoublePlay that other phones simply don't have:

  • Dual Fully-Customizable Touch Screens.  A 3.5-inch main screen as well as a smaller 2.0-inch sub-display that can function by itself or with the main screen.  Think about how easily you could interact with our Facebook and Twitter with this?
  • Multi-tasking like a boss.  You can surf the Web and update Facebook through both screens at the same time.  This is only possible with the DoublePlay, because it's the only phone with both screens.
  • 720p HD Video Recording with a 5MP camera.  You can record and take pictures all of your favorite moments in crisp High Defintion and then share them via Facebook at the same time.
  • Slide out split QWERTY keyboard with Swype for faster, more accurate typing.

With all these perks, I can use my phone better than ever!  I send thousands of text messages each month (well over 2,000.)  Using my primarily touchscreen smartphone, it gets time-consuming when I can't use a QWERTY keypad.  I would definitely double or even triple those texts because I would be able to text faster, especially considering the split keyboard would help multi-task faster.

The LG DoublePlay™ also uses CloudText to help send group texts faster.  When combined with the ultra-fast Android 2.3 Gingerbread, you've got a lightning-fast phone at the tips of your thumbs.  Gingerbread also contains the Android Market, which contains thousands of games, apps, movies, and books right in the plam of your hands!

Those dual screens can come in handy easily when you're using your social networks.  Since we're constantly talking to our readers and fans on Facebook and Twitter (almost 3-4 hours each day), we'd love to speed things up!  We can take a picture, upload it, add comments, and talk with all of you faster than ever before!

We'd love to hear from all of you:  how many texts do you send? How much time do you spend on Facebook on your phone and how do you think the LG DoublePlay can speed that up?  Let us know in the comments below!

Remember our review of the game Interstellar Defence Troops by Winter Rain Games?  Well, for a limited time only, they're having an X-mas sale!  50% off of this great game, bringing the price down to just $5.  Let us catch you up on how amazing of a deal this is:

For $5 you'll get:

  • Stunning graphics.  They are beautiful all-around and it's absolutely mesmerizing when you see them in action.
  • Solid, flowing gameplay.  This is one of the best tower defense games on the market, and it's even CHEAPER for a limited time.
  • Progressively challenging levels.  The more you play (and trust me you will play a LOT) the harder it gets. Sometimes, that sh*t cray.
  • A well-rounded, fully-immersive game.  This game will make you access every part of your brain and then some.
  • One of the best indie and tower defense games on the market.  There is really no match when comparing Interstellar Defence Troops to another game.  IDT tops all other tower defense games out there.

After all, you deserve to treat yourself.  Treat yourself like a King.  And Interstellar Defence King.

Call of Duty: Social Network

Everyone has played Call of Duty.  Yes, even you hardcore Battlefield fans know you have played it at least once.  If not, you certainly can't hate on it.  The Call of Duty series is arguably the most well-known first-person shooter out there.  With millions of individual hours clocked in on a weekly basis, people wonder what draws everyone into the Call of Duty experience.  We have an idea:  Call of Duty is a Social Network.
