TV shows are all the rage in making the move to a Hollywood movie spot: Transformers, the Smurfs, the Simpsons, South Park, the list goes on and on! However, we feel that there are a number of shows that would be great on the big screen. Here are our Top 5!
Hong Kong Phooey
Why: He’s a dog that is a superhero / master of martial arts. He stops crime, but only after changing while inside of a file cabinet. He’s not that great of a superhero, and his cat mainly helps him catch the bad guys. (Even though he claims to be the “number one super guy.”)
Peanuts
Why: We all love Peanuts. Charlie Brown, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Snoopy, Pig Pen. The list goes on. I’d love to see someone look just like Charlie Brown in real life, and I’d definitely love to see Pig Pen walking around with a cloud of dust. Also, I want to see a group of people doing those dances.
Dexter’s Laboratory
Why: Everyone loved Dexter, boy genius! His sister Dee Dee is always disrupting his genius life, too. It’d make a great movie. All the characters would be interesting to cast: Mandark, Dee Dee, and that little creepy girl with the big eyes. Oh, and Super Monkey would be pretty cool, too.
Wacky Races
Why: it was one of the craziest shows. You never know what to expect, and it’s make a pretty decent movie if done right. You could go crazy with the special effects, cars, and characters! Kids and adults would both love it!
Darkwing Duck
Why: He’s Darkwing Duck, that’s why. Master of Surprise, always appears out of smoke, you know! His show captivated audiences in 1991, and everyone still talks about him! It’s rumored to be directed by Christopher Nolan for a February 23, 2013 release! Hopefully that pans out as well as we’d love it to!
