All Day Energy: How Much is All Day?

We've heard of many different types of energy shots so far and one even had an extremely generic name.  The newest contender in our Energy Review Roundup is All Day Energy.  But can it live up to its "All Day" name?

Even the man on the CD in the background is confused.
Packaging: The bottle is on fire for some reason.  I don't quite understand this concept.  It's an energy drink.  It's ALL DAY Energy.  So why is it on fire?  I can only guess it is because it burns out so quickly.  Also, the logo looks like Centrum vitamins, only in reverse.

Taste:  It tasted like I took a shot of cough syrup.  I didn't like it at all. It was rough going down, had that medicinal taste, and still found room to give me a small, bitter hit.

Dances with Flames.
Energy Level: EXTREMELY LOW  I felt absolutely nothing from it.  I had a short burst of what I thought was energy, but it ended up being a yawn bursting forth.  I think this is where the flame comes in:  the shot is burned out.

Focus: EXTREMELY LOW I felt no focus with the lack of energy even though the bottle claims to "improve(s) focus and performance."

OVERALL GRADE F+  Why an F+?  Because there's a dancer.  I can't explain why there's a dancer on the box.  And why is she dancing in flames?  I don't think I'll ever know.  No energy, no focus, bad taste:  not a good mix, especially for a drink toting the name "All Day Energy." I'd like to add that I had someone else try one to ensure that it wasn't just me that felt this way.  They also felt nothing from the shot.

You can find All Day Energy on Facebook, Twitter, or at their website.

Have any questions or comments about the article or All Day Energy in general?  Hit us up on Twitter @GeekPreview using hashtag #ERoundup!

I'd like to thank Hasan from All Day Energy for allowing us to use their product in our Energy Review Roundup.

ZipFizz: Be An Energy Scientist!

Stand back folks, I'm about to try science!  How, you ask? ZipFizz!

ZipFizz is a healthy energy supplement that comes in two ways: energy shots and drink mix.  We have had the pleasure of trying some for our Energy Review Roundup!  But what makes ZipFizz stand out from the crowd so much?

"Beavis and Butthead" Premiere Kicks Butt

Just when we all thought MTV's program line-up hit rock bottom, Mike Judge's Beavis and Butthead was said to come back on the air.  Alongside their line-up of "reality" television, pregnancy shows, people hurting themselves, and let's not forget their newest edition of "kids getting arrested," MUSIC Television has seemingly been one of the worst networks on television to most of us.  But that is all about to change.

Beavis and Butthead premiered last night.  Heh heh, cool!  We were so excited to see our favorite TV-watching do-nothing duo and their amazing logic take over the current world.  I mean, who else is really going to talk about the horror that is Twilight?

The show started out with a plot that is reminiscent of the days when MTV was good.  We have our classic pair watching the Twilight movie, talking about how ridiculous it is that women are into that "crap."  They decide to go out and get bitten by a werewolf to become one.  However, they mistake a hepatitis-having homeless crazy man for their werewolf and pay him to bite them.  The best part is they paid him in gum.

They then spend the rest of the episode with sores and looking super pale, still trying to score. The next episode showed them watching "The Bachelor" and eating chili dogs.  Beavis accidentally smells an onion and starts to cry.  Butthead continually calls him out for being "moved to tears" and keeps it up for YEARS.  Even when they were shown in their 80s, Beavis is still getting pissed and Butthead still messes with him.

The best part, however, is that they showed MUSIC VIDEOS.  It's hard to believe that MTV allowed them to play some type of music.  It almost seems that MTV finds that people don't like music anymore.  Don't you wish music videos had their artistic respect they used to have?  Hopefully our two dimwitted critics can bring back that art form.

Overall, Thursday, October 27, 2011 marked an important day in the world of television.  We get back the most important people of the 90s.  You know, the boys who helped make or break artists.  The ones who had such an impact that people still talk about them almost 20 years after first coming on TV.  It's hilarious, well thought-out, and really sticks to its roots.  I'm sorry, I mean OUR roots.  Here's a sneak peek at next week:

MTV Shows

How'd you like their solid return?

Heh heh, we said solid.

Five Games That Need to be On Wii U!

Nintendo has an upcoming console that many people are excited about: the Wii U.  A handful of games have been rumored and announced for the system, but we have a list all our own that we feel would be best suited for the Wii U!  Alongside a surely new Mario game, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Darksiders 2, and some Raving Rabbids game that we all saw coming, we're sure these games would be even more awesome with their new tablet controller.

Top 5 Reasons Grand Theft Auto Five Should Come to New Orleans

We've all played, and loved, Grand Theft Auto.  San Andreas, Liberty City, Vice City: all great fictional towns, and their counterparts (Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, in that order,) are equally as awesome.  But, with games the like of L.A. Noire and Saints Row the Third, Grand Theft Auto has a lot it has to bring to make it not only a hit game, but a good game.  What is "it," though?  How about a little bit of actual Southern flair?

Is Tweak Extreme Really Extreme?

In the entire family of Tweaker products, which you can see to the left, we've talked about two of the relatives so far:  Tweaker and the "hed" of the family HED (Did you get it? It's a pun! Ha!)  But now we have Tweak Extreme, the "big brother" of the Tweaker products.  Is it as extreme as it's name intends?

Tweaker Helps Get Your Tweak On!

Our Energy Review Roundup (#ERoundup) has been a huge success so far, garnering thousands of views by themselves!  Our newest contender, and a small one at that, is a little boost of energy called Tweaker.

H.E.D. Is One Seriously High Energy Drink!

H.E.D. is certainly a very different energy drink in the fact that it's so simple.  H.E.D. (High Energy Drink) seems like something you'd see someone drink in a TV show or commercial for the name alone.  Add in the simple can design and you have what seems to be the perfect product placement.  But does it stop at simplicity or bring a new level to energy drinks as it seems by its name?

I Love Ben & Jerry's Schweddy Balls: An Opinion

Yes, you heard me right.  I love Schweddy Balls.  I'll scream it out windows, on buses, from rooftops!  Alec Baldwin played Pete Schweddy brilliantly, and his balls were the most perfect balls I've ever seen in my life.  Of course, I am talking about his different holiday foods, such as pretzel balls, fudge balls, cheese balls, etc.  I don't have a problem with Schweddy Balls, but some people out there absolutely hate them.

Fire and Dice: One Game That Brings the Heat!

We talked about Sky Parlor Studios last wonderful app, Carnival of Games.  It was awesome and we loved playing it's different games again and again.  They recently released their newest game on iOS and Android called Fire and Dice.  We played it. It's hot.  But just how hot is it?

Social Networking Just Got More Pinteresting

Our eyes have recently settled on a new social networking site called Pinterest.  Simply put, it's a place where you can share your favorite links via pictures that you "pin" to the front page.  Everyone can see it, and then you can "repin" it to your own personal boards to organize it.

Two and Half Men: More Sheen With Ashton Than Charlie

Sheen - beautiful; shining.

That being said, everyone in the world followed Charlie Sheen's downward spiral from a top-paying position in the television and movie industry to being a tiger-blooded warlock rock star from Mars.  The question for the time then wasn't "How will Charlie Sheen survive without 2.5 Men?"  The real question was "Will 2.5 Men survive without Sheen?"

After Charlie Sheen was fired (there's a big surprise...)  everyone wondered who would replace him.  Rumors were abound on the internet:  John Stamos from Full House, Jerry O'Connell from Funny or Die, and Donny Osmond. However, there then began a huge rumor surging throughout the World Wide Web, and a dear friend from the 70's would join the cast; someone we never thought of.

Ashton Kutcher would be coming in as a new character to fill the void left by Charlie Sheen.  After playing in numerous successful comedies and playing the ever-so-famous Kelso from That 70's Show, it should have been clear that Ashton would be one of the best comedians to take the spot.  After all, with almost 8 million Twitter followers and even more fans on other social media outlets, it should have been clear that with Kutcher on board, the show would be nothing but winning.

Millions tuned in to the premiere episode to see just how Ashton would fare.  It's clear after four episodes that Ashton's still got his ground in comedy, and Charlie isn't the only one with Adonis DNA.

All of Ashton's jokes are timed just right, and he brings a fresh breath of a different kind of comedy to the set of Two and a Half Men.  The show continues to do really well with viewers, and it keeps getting better each week. John Cryer and Ashton play brilliantly off each other, and it seems like I'm actually watching someone's daily life.

I applaud Mr. Kutcher for his amazing performance, which can only go up from it's already high point.  It's clear that Ashton has the sheen to keep the Sheen-less comedy better than ever! Keep bringing it to the Two and a Half Men set and T.V. sets everywhere, Mr. Kutcher.  The audience is listening.

Do you think Ashton does it better than Charlie? Let us know below, on Twitter @GeekPreview or on Facebook!

"Faux Calls"

The Author of this post is Freddy Savage

We got DIRECT TV and I have been catching up on episodes of “Sex and the City”. It was my favorite show when it was out, and I think that I have seen almost every episode. On a recent episode that I watched Carrie, wants to get back together with her ex-fiance, Aiden. I always liked the episodes with Aiden, but Carrie really did him dirty and cheated on him. Eventually, they broke up and he left the show. She wants to get back together with him after seeing him at his bar opening. The funniest thing is that she describes “faux calls” ( when she says it , is sounds like phone calls). “Faux calls” as Carrie describes them, are calling an ex and hanging up. You call and you have no idea what you would say if they pick up and you definitely don’t leave a message. It is so funny. Every girl has called a guy that they liked at one point or another and hung up just before someone answer. Carrie uses a house phone, which makes it a little easier for her to make “Faux calls”. Now a days with caller id on every cell phone, if you were going to make “Faux calls” you would have to use Google phone or dial *67 before you phone the number so that if wouldn’t show up on the caller id.

Dark Souls: A Soul-Crusher to Remember

It all started when my girlfriend bought me a PlayStation 3.  It was a random gift that she got me just because she wanted to.  It was possibly the best gift anyone has ever received from a girlfriend or wife "just because they wanted to."  She then left me to play my new system with the new game God of War III.  That game was epic in all senses of the word; or so I thought.

The Top Ten Movies For Halloween!

If you're anything like me, which I assume you are or else you wouldn't be reading this, you love horror movies.  You love them relentlessly and with a great passion.   After all, that's what a film is: an image that's supposed to stay in your mind for as long as possible in order to affect your emotions.  Horror films do this perfectly.

Everyone remembers being a kid and being scared beyond imagination watching a horror film.  I mean, I really do.  I remember it vividly.  That hockey mask-wearing, machete-weilding, giant with the tattered clothes left me sleepless for days.  Of course, these images are the basis for what some of us now consider horror.  With Halloween coming up, what better way to commemorate 20+ years of being scared to death than with the ULTIMATE HALLOWEEN HORROR MOVIE MARATHON LIST!  (Also known as UHHMM or Uhhmm!)

Top 5 Games That Need HD Remakes!

With the recent release of ICO / Shadow of the Colossus in glorious 3D and High Definition glory, we thought it'd be great to put a list of games that we'd like to see get remade and released.  There's tons out there, but we've narrowed it down to the top five.  Are your favorites on the list?

In Honor of Project Long Live Play, It's PaRappa The Rapper Time!

I remember when I first got my Playstation One on Christmas Day.  It was awesome!  It came with two equally awesome games: Namco Museum and PaRappa the Rapper.  I played these games like they were going out of style (the didn't, and never will, by the way.)  Namco Museum took up a bit of my time until I picked up the game with the hip hop dog on the cover.

Are Tablets Here to Stay?

Everyone knows about tablets, majorly thanks to Apple's highly-successful major product that's in the hands of everyone and their grandmother.  They are useful for everything from gaming to working, but will they stay in touch in the future?

Can Disney Change How People Feel About 3D?

Disney recently released their 3D movie line-up for the next couple of years.  All of them are re-releases of our favorite movies.  Starting with The Lion King, which just got out of it's massive cash haul of a two-week stint, it will be followed by Beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., and The Little Mermaid. But can Disney give 3D the extra boost it needs to stay current?

Who Got The Last Laugh? A Comparison of Jokers

I work at a small pizza place in a small, but ever-growing, town.  At work, we love to talk about all things media: books, games, movies, TV, the news, and any and everything else that goes with it!  Today, we were talking about one of our favorite discussions, movies.  More importantly superhero movies. Today the subject was none other than the Batman.

Lazy Larry Brownies / Unwind Review!

That's one chilled-out brownie, yo.
I recently came across a very interesting concept:  relaxation snacks and drinks.  I've always had energy drinks right by my side when playing Call of Duty or watching an entire trilogy or series of movies (here's to you, Harry Potter!)  However, I've never had the chance to actually try one of these marketed "relaxation" products.  Thanks to Frontier Beverage, I had the chance and it was worth it!

What Will Become of Become.com?

Become.com is an up-and-coming shopping site.  They sell everything from cheap boost mobile phones to computers at their gateway outlet.  In the midst of all of the other websites for shopping out there, how will it fare?

Comedy Is A Myth For Geek Mythology

Here at Geek Preview!, we love all movies equally (except you, Green Lantern.)  We love our high-budget super-mainstream flicks and our low-budget "red-headed stepchild" indie films. But where does Phil Hwang's Geek Mythology lie?
